CONFERENCE OVERVIEW.

Earlier this year, delegates at the 2011 conference completed feed-back forms and also a survey form that asked what the members needs were in terms of education over the coming year. In Term One we held a strapping workshop at our term meeting and this was very well attended with many more apologising and expressing their desire to attend another such session. Based on feed- back from the conference and the term meeting the theme of Sport Health and Trauma management was born.

We started at the top and worked our way down deciding to investigate the impact sport has on systems – head, spine, musculoskeletal, eyes, respiratory etc. We are very excited that Sports Medicine Australia have agreed to provide the practical workshop and participants will subsequently gain a Basic Strapping Certificate. The conference aims to combine the theory with the practical. Our speakers are all experts in their field and face the same challenges we do.

A provisional program is now available.

CPD hours are available for all delegates.
